HOW TO DO HOMEWORK.
숙제 방법
Day 1 and 2
Shadowing:
Step 1 : 쉐도윙전 전체 영상을 자막 없이 볼 거에요, 최대한 이해하려고 노력해주세요! 영상의 주제를 파악하는 것이 가장 중요합니다.
Before shadowing, watch the video one time without any subtitles and try to understand as much as possible. Try to guess the main idea of the video.
Step 2: 한국어 스크립트가 나오면 자세하게 봐주세요!
내용 전체를 확실하게 이해하고 진행하는 것이 중요합니다.
Check the Korean script in detail to fully understand the content of the video
Step 3: 영어 스크립트가 나오면 단어 하나하나 완벽하게 이해하려고 노력해주세요!
Check the English script in full detail and make sure you understand every single vocabulary word and expression.
Step 4: Shadowing:
쉐도윙에는 두 가지 방식이 있습니다.
There are two ways you can shadow
첫 번째 : 영상에 속도에 맞춰 그대로 따라 하는 것입니다.
단어를 놓쳐도 괜찮아요. 그냥 들리는 그대로 따라 말해주세요
Play the video at full speed and just say any word or phrase you can hear. If you miss something, just skip it and keep going with saying as much as you can hear.
두 번째 : 한 문장마다 멈춰가며 들었던 것을 말해보는 것입니다. 완벽하게 말 못해도 들었던 것을 그대로 이야기하려고 노력해주세요
Pause the video after each sentence or phrase and try to say what you heard. If you miss some words, it’s okay. Just say what you remember then keep going forward.
Day 3
Writing
목표는 토픽 질문에 관하여 10줄의 라이팅을 하는 것이니다, 만약 10줄을 쓰는 것이 너무 어렵다면, 괜찮아요! 할 수 있는 만큼 한번 해보세요!, 가장 중요한 것은 숙제를 매일 하는 것입니다!
원어민 강사님의 피드백 : 우리의 목표는 수용할 수 있는 적당한 양의 높은 수준의 피드백을 주는 것 입니다, 원어민 강사님은 여러분의 라이팅 숙제에 최소 다섯 개 이상의 유용한 교정 혹은 표현을 드릴 겁니다.
Goal: To write 10 sentences about the topical question. If you cannot write 10, it is okay! Just write as many sentences as you can. The most important thing is DOING YOUR HOMEWORK :)
Native Teacher’s feedback: Our goal is to give you “bite-sized,” high quality feedback that you will be able to process and remember. The native teacher will give at least 5 useful corrections/expressions for each writing homework assignment you upload!
Day 4
Expressing your opinion (Video Recording)
목표는 질문에 관하여 5분짜리 영상을 만드는 것입니다, 만약 여러분이 5분 동안 영어로 이야기 할 수 없어도, 괜찮아요, 할 수 있는 만큼 이야기 해주세요. 아시죠? 가장 중요한 것은 매일 숙제를 하는 것이라는 것.
원어민 강사님의 피드백 : 우리의 목표는 수용할 수 있는 적당한 양의 높은 수준의 피드백을 주는 것 입니다. 원어민 강사님은 여러분의 영상에 적어도 3개이상의 교정 혹은 표현을 드릴 겁니다.
Goal: To speak for 5 minutes about the topical question. If you cannot speak for 5 minutes, it’s okay! Just speak as much as you can. The most important thing is DOING YOUR HOMEWORK :)
Native Teacher’s feedback: Our goal is to give you “bite-sized,” high quality feedback that you will be able to process and remember. The native teacher will give at least 3 useful corrections/expressions via video for each speaking homework assignment you upload!
Day 5
In-N-Out Speaking Practice (Video Recording)
Part 1 : 영상에 질문이 나오면 크게 읽고 빈칸을 채워주세요
빈칸은 여러분이 배운 표현에 여러분이 넣고 싶은 단어 혹은 표현을 넣어서 문장을 만들어 보는 것입니다.
Part 1: “Read the sentences out loud, filling in the blanks.” Read sentence 1 out loud, filling in the blanks as you read to create your own new sentence. Then move on to the next question, doing exactly the same thing you did for question 1.
Part 2: 질문을 크게 읽고, 질문에 대답해주세요
반드시 대답은 완벽한 문장으로 해주셔야 합니다.
“Read the following questions out loud, then answer them following the In-N-Out format.” Read question 1 out loud, then answer the question with a full sentences, copying the words in the question exactly. Then move onto the next question, doing exactly the same activity.
