The drama surrounding Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle David Irving continues as his career appears to be going up in smoke.
During a live stream on his personal Instagram Thursday night, Irving said he's finished playing football.
"Basically guys, I quit," Irving said. "It's a lot of reasons why I've come to this decision."
"I appreciate my true fans who appreciated me for who I am, not for the whole football stuff because football does not define me," he said.
Irving played two games last season, totaling 56 snaps while recording one sack and two quarterback pressures. He suffered a high ankle sprain during practice in late October and was rarely seen around the practice facility after that.
