How To Schedule Regular Shifts For Employees

How To Schedule Regular Shifts For Employees Many businesses have shifts that consistently start and end at the same time depending on the position. For example, maybe your servers work from 7AM-4pm and 3pm-11pm - rather than entering 7am-4pm every time, shift blocks give you “one click” scheduling. To create a shift block, click on the gear icon and select Shift Blocks. Here you’ll input the regularly occurring start and end time you typically schedule for that position and time. You can do this for multiple shifts that are regularly scheduled for each position. Now when you are making the schedule, you can click on an empty cell and select a shift block. For example, if the employee is tagged to the “server” position, only the “server” shift blocks will appear, but if they’re tagged to a “manager” position, only “manager” shift blocks will appear. When you use shift blocks, you’ll be able to create your schedule in minutes, instead of hours.
