Note: This appears to be a "Mystery Error Code".
It is not officially recognized in the PlayStation Error Code Database and does not have a description or a fix.
The SU prefix of the code represents a "Software Update" error, so this may give you a clue to what is causing the error.

Note: The SU-42118-6 seems very similar to the SU-30696-4 description and fix, which you'll find below:
SU-30696-4 Description and Solutions:
Failed to update the System Software. The update file may be corrupted.
If you are updating the system via the internet, go to "Settings" - "System Software Update" and retry the update.
If you are updating via a USB storage device, please try updating your system via the internet by navigating to "Settings" - "System Software Update" - "Update via Internet".
Official PlayStation Forum:
On the Official PlayStation forums (at the time of publishing this video) it is being reported by a number of PS4 owners that the above SU-30696-4 fix does not fix the problem.
One forum member has stated that they have contacted PlayStation Support, via phone, and reported the following: "Just got off the phone with support. They told me it'd be a couple of days for a patch to fix the issue."
Conclusion:
It appears that there isn't a reliable fix for this error code, at present. Unless you know better. If so, please post in the comments.
