While firefighter, police officer, enlisted military personnel and airline pilot are some jobs you’d expect to be on the list, you might be surprised to see newspaper reporter, new anchor, PR executive and senior corporate executive here.
Careercast assigned stress level points to jobs based on their survey results and according to 11 key factors. They were: an amount of travel, meeting deadlines, working in the public eye, competitiveness, physical requirements, environmental conditions, danger encountered, having to put your life at risk, life of another at risk, having to deal with customers or the public, prospective job growth. Each of the 200 jobs analyzed received points for each of the factors it has in it.

SUMMARY
-Dealing with unruly, lunatic, and drunk passengers, along with bad traffic, makes the taxi driver’s job rank 10th on the list of most stressful jobs.
-A senior executive must work long hours, make decisions that impact the organization and all of its employees, and try to stay ahead in the cutthroat competitive corporate world.
-PR executives must be ready to work for long hours, at any time of day. Dealing with public figures and celebrities and managing their affairs is no cakewalk.
-From being ready all day long to be in front of the camera in the event of breaking news, to facing powerful people and asking them tough questions — this is no easy task and would take a toll on anyone.
-Newspaper reporters often work in hostile areas, for long hours, with stringent deadlines, and relatively low pay.
-You never really know what can go wrong at any event, given the amounts of people you have to deal with for everything to be perfect. You’ll have to fix any problem with a smile on your face.
-Strange work hours, coming face to face with society’s rogue elements, and being there to help anyone when bad things happen is sure to cause a lot of stress to police officers.
-Being the only person responsible for the safety of hundreds of passengers and flying for long hours, coupled with bad weather conditions can be extremely stressful.
-Firefighters risk their lives on a daily basis to save others for an annual salary of $48,030.
-The long separation from home and family along with being in wartorn zones watching friends and colleagues get injured or lose life can be extremely stressful both physically and mentally.
