In this video, I tell you why you should not switch to synthetic oil if you have been using conventional oil in your car for a while. Many people make the mistake of switching to conventional oil when their engine accumulates more kilometers because they think that it will be better for the engine. And the truth of the matter is that synthetic oil is better for an engine, as long as you have been using it from the start of the engine's life. If you decide to make the switch to synthetic oil, you will likely wash out the sludge from inside of the engine, and that sludge is the same stuff that was assisting the engine seals with preventing any leaks.
