At the heart of every Female Genital Mutilation crime is often a very young, vulnerable victim

Detective Sergeant Kate Bridger from the Metropolitan Police's Harmful Practices Team described the impact Female Genital Mutilation would have on the victim.

Metropolitan Police need information from the public to identify young people at risk, as well as people who arrange and carry out this harmful, illegal practice.
