As part of #globalseoulmate 2019 I got the opportunity to try the Discover Seoul Pass to talk about my experience. I did a lot of research to see what you were able to do with it and this is what I found out that I wanted to tell you guys about.
What did I do?
1. Building 63, aquarium and art gallery/observatory
Unlimited 63 Pass aqua planet 63 + 63 ART 38,000 KRW
2. Sealala Jjimjjilbang (Korean Spa)
Adults: 8,000 - 10,000 KRW
If you order any food you get a free sikhye (식혜) A sweet rice drink super common to drink when you go to the sauna
3. Coex Aquarium
Ticket: 28,000 KRW
That would have been quite a sum In attractions only but since the pass is 39,900KRW you actually save A LOT. In My case I saved 37,000 KRW 😈 (and I only went to 3 places)
How to use the app:
What would I have also loved to do but did not have the time?
1. Seoul City Tour Bus (Seoul Tiger Bus) Night Tour
I arrived on time but they said they had no more tickets, I was sad because I would have loved to see the lights 😍
2. Leeum Samsung Museum of Art
3. Seodaemun Prison History Hall
4. National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul
5. National Museum of Korea(Special Exhibitions)
6. Namsangol Hanok Village
Things that I have done and recommend:
All the palaces, Namsan Observatory, Lotte World (not free entry but you still have a discount)
Some other things you might be interested in:
Hanbok rental, various pop culture museums (trickeye museum, alive museum…)

After seeing the available attractions and prices I definitely do think it is worth it, at least tasing the 24h pass, but it is up to you. Do your math with the things that you would like to visit and see if it will be a good option for you, if you want to do most touristy things, I do recommend to have a look at the pass and even the ones for 48 or 72 hours since you will save a LOT of money.
You have free admission to 35 attractions and discounts to 29 attractions
Extra benefits:
- You get a free ride from the airport to Seoul (which is quite expensive tbh)
- You get the free t- money card (the subway card which is usually 2,500 KRW the cheapest and at least 5,000 KRW the cute designs (I know because I lost mine and had to buy a new one :( the other day)
- You can use Seoul bike with your pass as well
- If you want to go to amusement or water parks outside of Seoul have a look at the plus edition since it has more discounts to see if it is worth it to get that one on that case
BTS EDITION
If you are a fan of the Kpop group BTS since they are ambassadors of Seoul this year, if you get the pass during 2019 you will get the limited BTS edition of the BTS Discover Seoul Pass. And on it you will get a picture of the group, a transportation card with their picture and a map with their picture as well.
The pass is valid for 5 years from the time it was issued. And it will start counting only from the time you activate your card on the app.
