GYAC Expansion Project Construction Progress

Gifford Youth Achievement Center has embarked on a new phase with an expansion building to accommodate eight more classrooms so no child has to be on the waiting list.

GYAC is helping students with the tools they need to fulfill their goal to graduate. Since the Center opened in 1978, the graduation rate has increased each year to 81.9 % from 23 % when the local school was integrated to Vero Beach High School.

GYAC was founded to give students a sense of belonging and additional help with their homework, access to tutors, mentors and cultural education year-round.
