Ngora seismic activity; Scientists to carry out more geological studies

Ngora seismic activity; Scientists to carry out more geological studies The state minister for Water and Environment Dr. Mary Gorreti Kitutu has reassured residents of Ngora district and the country at large that there’s no fear of volcanic eruption from the Ngora rock. This comes two weeks after residents within this area raised an alarm over smoke that was raising from the rock leading many to believe that the rock was displaying signs of an eruption. According to the geological experts that were dispatched to investigate the matter, the smoke was due to localised tensions within the earth in addition to the high heat that caused tension within the rocks. However, Kitutu adds the experts are to stay on in the area and continue monitoring the situation for the next 14 days so as to ascertain the results that have so far been yielded.#NTVNews
