The Election Commission will meet on Tuesday to decide on poll code violation complaints against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, a senior poll panel official said on Monday. During its briefing, the Commission explained the timeline for the fourth phase of polling which concluded today, May 29. Deputy Election Commissioner Kumar Sandep Saxena explained the time taken to process poll code violations saying the commission had to complete its due diligence including investigations by the legal wing, election expenditure, media and planning. The fifth phase of polling is scheduled on May 6.
