Rivers’ parents, Angie and Hunter, say he is chronically truant and has refused to attend 24 of the past 37 days of the current school year. The parents say Rivers lashes out violently and verbally not only toward them, but his younger brothers as well. The 15-year-old says he wants to be a musician, and there’s nothing that school can do for him.
