1931 Ted Wallace (as Jerry Fenwyck) - Nevertheless (I’m In Love With You) (Elmer Feldkamp, vocal) From the Rick Colom Collection: The Ted Wallace orchestra was one of several bands whose recordings were sometimes issued on Clarion and other Columbia dime store labels under the “Jerry Fenwyck” pseudonym. Though a moderately popular 1931 tune from composers Bert Kalmar and Harry Ruby, “Nevertheless” would be revived into an even bigger success in 1950, thanks to the MGM musical “Three Little Words” starring Fred Astaire and Red Skelton in a fictionalized biopic of the songwriting team.

Digital restoration by Bob Moke from the original 78rpm: Clarion 5315-C - Nevertheless (I’m In Love With You) (Kalmar-Ruby) by Jerry Fenwyck & his Orchestra (Ted Wallace), vocal by Jerry Fenwyck (Elmer Feldkamp), recorded in NYC April 15, 1931
