Zhou Shen’s thoughts on the song, “What’s Going On?” (怎麼了) : People who are facing troubles in life need surrounding friends to uplift them.

Zhou Shen said：

This song, what we thought is we do need help from friends whether with working or living. Spiritually, we do need more friends who care about us. Even if it’s simply by asking “Hey, are you OK?” or just by quietly standing by him. I think it would be a good ending.

Meng Huiyuan (孟慧圓) had told me that she started writing the song as a conversation between her and herself. It’s as if a whole self was split to two, and one is comforting the other saying, “you will be free from the hardship you are involved”.

So we presented the song as a duet. We were comforting a friend who was in trouble.

We let everyone know that when you are in a very bad mood, or feeling isolated or lonely., you can look around and many friends of yours who care about you.
