When was the last time you thought of starting your business? Was it under peer pressure, or just because you wanted to have that dreamy life of not working under anyone. Was it because you want to make money online by working from home? Abhishek Dubey always wanted to pursue entrepreneurship. He was always excited to follow his passion, pursue his dream and do something for the people of this great nation. Aspiring to become a Social Entrepreneur, he went on to start his own business in the second year of college itself, giving it the name 'Muskaan Dreams". But little did he know what challenges awaited him on the journey to starting and running a business.
Initially, his father was unable to get the idea of his son starting a business. Moreover, the term Social Entrepreneurship was completely alien to him. Worried that his son is going on the wrong path due to doing his own business, he gave Abhishek an ultimatum to choose between him and his business.
Abhishek Dubey is the Co-Founder of Muskaan Dreams, an organization which works towards the betterment of educational opportunities for underprivileged children. In August 2014 Muskaan started the first classroom with 70 children and 40 volunteers team. Today, a network of 250 Youth volunteers, 25 city leaders, and 8 National leaders are tirelessly working to change the lives of 15000 children in three cities. Muskaan Group recently raised Rs 1.5 crore from Hindustan Zinc Limited, part of the Vedanta Group. The funds raised will be used to transform 100 rural government schools in MP into digital learning spaces.
