Non-Ideal Gases and the Van der Waals Equation

Non-Ideal Gases and the Van der Waals Equation We learned about ideal gases, as well as kinetic molecular theory, which explains the laws that govern ideal gases. But some of the postulates of this theory won't always hold true. When a gas is highly pressurized and/or very cold, it will deviate from ideal gas behavior. Why might this be, and is there some other way we can do calculations on this sample of gas? There is! Take a look.
