This ride, previewed at the EAG Exhibition in January and has generated a mass of interest, with many operators reserving machines ahead of its release. With production now in full swing, the retail-ready model is supposed be launched at the InterFun Expo in Leeds on 30th April and 1st May, except I've found one in Warrington today!
“We are extremely excited by the buzz that this ride is already developing amongst operators,” said Gareth Jones, production manager. “The PJ Masks brand is very strong globally, and successful across many sectors within our industry and children’s products generally.”
Manufactured in the UK this latest innovation from Kiddy Rides is based on the ‘Cat Car’ which features heavily in the popular kids TV show.
The ride is made from self coloured gel to maximise lifespan and provide a superior, durable finish over alternative painted machines. The show’s primary characters, superheroes Cat Boy, Gekko and Owlette are all featured on the ride. Cat Boy is positioned as a physical 3D model towards the front of the cockpit, whilst the other two characters are visible as a two-dimensional element positioned behind the seat, which can accommodate two young
riders.
The PJ Masks theme tune is played throughout the duration of the ride, and characters famous catchphrases can be heard when pressing the corresponding button. Impressive and attractive LED lighting is also a key feature to the ride.
