To get dressed or to shower? No one should be forced to make this choice! (8-5-19)

As we come into the second week of care with the new care agency, things are starting to settle. But so are the bugs. Not from the care agency but from the forced choices Social services have put on us. Forcing Stacey to have a shower at 3/4pm in the afternoon and dressed in to her PJ's. Not even thinking about her not having strength to get dressed in the morning and then 3 or 4 hours later expecting her to get redressed and shower. An abled bodied healthy person would struggle so why and how can you expect someone with multiple chronic illness and disabilitys to be able to do this. leaving her with her only choice, to choose to get dressed in the morning or have a shower 3/4 hours late. Which would you chose to use your little energy on, and how is this helpful, person centre or dignified.
