Bettering Our Walks With Communication

Bettering Our Walks With Communication Do you have a dog that wants to greet everyone?
Do they ENGAGE with everyone else?

How many of those people actually WANT your dogs attention?
Does your dog care?
Do you feel neglected on walks, no matter how empowered they feel?
No matter how many choices you let them have?

Dory is a GREAT dog.
She loves people and dogs.
So what do I need to improve anything?

She is under the impression that saying hi gets her attention from me.

(See previous video)

She's honestly not even interested in seeing others.
She's interested in the reward after.

Hmmmmmm.

So I'm technically making her do something she's not all that interested in.
Hmmmmm
Ok.

So let's figure out how I can switch that.

Ohhhh, let's reward her for DISENGAGING instead of ENGAGING.
Let's reward her for CHOOSING me over EVERYONE ELSE while we walk.

Then we can ENGAGE with each other on walks!!!!

Ohhhhhh.

That means she WANTS to listen and enjoy my company.

Hmmmmm.

Isn't that what we should be teaching?

While walking?
Together?
Me and my dog?

Everything else is just.....
Life?
