About this video: In this video, I show you exactly how to make a Minecraft 1.14.3 server. This server will allow you to play Minecraft 1.14.3 with your friends using a server you own and that you control. This means that you can add plugins to your 1.14.3 server, add mods to your 1.14.3 server, and even kick and ban all of your friends while in creative mode. The possibilities are endless. Thus, let's go ahead and make a Minecraft server in 1.14.3!
First and foremost though, I do want to mention that this is not a 24 hour Minecraft server. It is meant for just your friends, family, and people you trust. This is because it is hosted on your own IP address. If you want a public server, you will need to host your Minecraft 1.14.3 with someone like Apex Minecraft Hosting as they host the server on their hardware which is meant to be public.
Nevertheless, if you do just want to play Minecraft with your friend, let's get your server started. First and foremost, we need to download the Minecraft server software for 1.14.3. You can find a link in the description above that will download the Minecraft 1.14.3 server software. Once you have it downloaded, create a new folder on your desktop and drop it into it. Then, open the folder and create a new text document.
In the new text document, take one of the codes above. Make sure you are adding as much RAM as you think your Minecraft 1.14.3 server will need. This could be anywhere from 2GB to 4GB or even more depending on how many players your Minecraft server is running. Once you have the code pasted in, save this file and name it 'run.bat'. Make sure you save it as 'all files', or your Minecraft server won't start.
At this point, you can double click the Run.bat file to start your server. It will fail though as we need to agree to the EULA. Open this document with notepad, go to the EULA, and if you agree, change 'EULA=false' to 'EULA=true'. Save the file, and double click on the 'Run.bat' file again. Your Minecraft 1.14.3 server will start right on up!
Now you aren't done just yet though. You still need to port forward for your Minecraft server to let friends join. This is very easy though. Just get your router password from the link above, log in to your router, and forward port '25565'. That's it. It really is that simple and that easy. Now, just get your public IP from the link above and join your server.
