INFJ's Paralysis of Analysis

INFJ's Paralysis of Analysis There’s been times where people would describe me as a perfectionist. And to a certain extent I would have to concur with them. In looking at the word what it is, it could be said that I create high standards for myself and put my best foot forward. But there maladaptive side to this trait which is that it also drives the individual to pursue unrealistic and unattainable ideals.

Now within the INFJ’s personality, perfectionism (often times it’s termed as idealism) is an inherent part of our hardwiring. But because we are also introverted thinkers, the ideal states of action that we can envision are just a mere thought being how we never try to manifest it.

You see because our intuitive side when we try to overlay our ideal images of reality with what reality actually is, there not superimposable (or at the very least we believe that they can’t match up). How this displays out is that we might come up with a revolutionary idea and perhaps even start to implement it, but shortly after well think it’s too much and quit.

Create a perfect image but reality doesn’t meet up to it because it’s in articulatable in words since it’s formulating a false perception of life. The issue is in order to learn and grow in life, imperfection needs to occur in order to learn because it will truly allow us to achieve the highest levels of greatness. We constantly move towards it but we never can attain it which is alright.
