Oak flooring which had little lacquer left. Instead, years of wear and tear had ground itself into the unprotected wood. This made sanding a challenge as the wood itself was widely discoloured and even water damaged. The good news was that the new belts from BND Abrasives, Cubitron II were fantastic and really efficient at removing the right amount of wood from the floor. In my opinion combining the Cubitron II belts with my Pallmann Cobra 2 machine is the perfect match.
The floor was finished with multiple applications of Magic Oil from Pallmann. This is an advanced oil product which is dry in just 4 hours and fully cured in 12 hours. This is in part thanks to it being two component. The great news is that it is also solvent free which is why we also use it on our wooden worktop restorations.
