Researchers in 1950 conducted a study with 21-year-olds and they were followed over many years. Every 35 years they were asked the same questions: 'describe the relationship with your mum' and 'describe your relationship with your dad'.

What they discovered was that of the people who had a cold or strained relationship with their mum, 91% of them had significant health conditions, like heart disease, diabetes, addictions, compared to 45% who said, they had a warm and close relationship with their mum.

The same for the dad-child relationship: 82% of people who had a cold and strained relationship had significant health problems, compared to 50% who had warm and close memories.

So here is what you can do today: start healing your inner child.
