How I Varnish my Artwork.

How I Varnish my Artwork. liWelcome to Paint Week!! I have some videos about my artwork and paintings to share this week. These videos will be all about pour painting and I will be showing how I mix paints and varnish. In this particular video I show how I clean my canvas before I varnish. I use warm soapy water, just regular dish soap, and wipe real good. My next step is with a baby wipe, then a quick towel dry. I let this air dry for an hour or so before I get ready to varnish.
To apply the varnish I use a sponge tucked inside a foot portion of panty hose. I think it works better than brushes. I forgot to mention each layer I try to go in a different direction. I use liquitex high gloss varnish, it is expensive but so far I haven't gotten any cracking or bubbling. I plan on experimenting on other kinds in the future. Let each layer dry for 3 hours before next application!
I mention a couple other channels I watch to get tips, listed below,
