Acne Treatment for Teens Made Simple with Dr Emma Wedgeworth | Dr Sam Bunting

Acne Treatment for Teens Made Simple with Dr Emma Wedgeworth | Dr Sam Bunting Hey guys, Dr Emma here! I see lots of teenagers and young adults in clinic, because this is so often when people first start to struggle with their skin. 85% of teenagers will experience some degree of acne and often it’s being made worse by skincare and cosmetics. Acne, or rather, skin conditions on the whole, can have a devastating effect on self-esteem and frankly most young people could do without them. And we can treat them! I hope you enjoy this video on my top tips. See my teen skincare starter kit below:

My Teen Skin Care Starter Kit

Cleanser:
Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (for sensitive skin) OR Cerave Foaming Cleanser (for oily skin) OR Flawless Cleanser.
Moisturiser:
Avène Recovery Cream (for sensitive skin) OR La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Fluide (for oily skin)
Actives:
Acnecide (5% Benzoyl Peroxide) – Great for blackheads and clogged pores which are so common in teenage years. TriAcneal Expert by Avène. Either/or if you are sensitive and build up slowly. Both (one in the morning and one in the evening) if you can tolerate.
