Jake: Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look, and I'm going to show you some of the cool features on this Mighty Cord 50-amp cable. This is going to be your power cord to go from your camper or RV to your power source at your campsite. Now, right away you're going to notice the difference between this and your traditional cord is going to be that this one is going to have a 90-degree turn, so when you plug it into your camper, you're not going to have that pulling like you'll see on this one. If you plug it into your camper, you're going to have this cable pulling down on the plug. That's not going to do your plug or your cable any good. With this, they've designed it to where the cable, when plugged in, is going to pull straight down.

Let's go ahead and plug it in.Along with that 90 degree turn, for the cable, it's going to give you the nice grip handle to be able to plug it in and turn it to lock it in place. Once you have it all the way in, you'll take this collar and you'll thread it on to your camper, locking it in place. Now that was our female end that went into our camper or RV. With the male end, I really like it because with this plug, with a 50-amp plug, it's going to be more difficult to plug and unplug it from your power source, so they give you these three convenient finger handles to be able to slide your fingers in and pull out with some pretty substantial force to be able to plug in and pull out. Now, if you're not sure what kind of power you're going to run into if you're traveling around from site to site, you want to pick up a 50-amp cable just so you're sure that you can use all the functions inside your camper or RV. Along with that, it's going to be a good idea to pick up a 30-amp converter like we have here. You'll see we have their 30-amp hookup here and a female for our 50-amp hookup.

You just plug it in and it converts it down to 30 amps. One of the biggest issues to hooking up to power at a camping site is whether or not you have power. If you're having issues having power inside your camper or RV, this little indicator light is going to be able to tell you that you have power here at the edge of your RV. So if you don't have power on the inside, you know it's going to be your RV and not the power source. All in all, I think it's got a heavy duty construction. It's going to have a nice weather-resistant seal around these edges on both connections, and it's going to last you a long time. With all that being said, that's going to do it for our look at the Mighty Cord 50-amp, 25-foot cable..
