The city of Shenzhen in southern China is making a name for itself internationally as China’s foremost technology and innovation hub. Rapid population growth alongside a rise in the amount spent on research and development and in the number of patents filed have made this a city to watch for investors. Shenzhen’s strength in the IT industry is one of the factors attracting graduates to the city from all over China.
The city, with its short history of only 40 years, has a population of more than 20 million people – dwarfing European and American cities like Rome, which despite having 2,000 years of history, has a population of only 4 million.
“The growth is in China,” Baldo Sanso, President of Tracia, argues. Tracia Hong Kong is a legacy capital business headquartered in Hong Kong which helps investors grow their private equity footprint.
