Amimals do get skin cancer, too. Avoid bringing your animals out during hot hours when UV factor is at peak (11.00 am. - 4.00 pm). Don't bring them out in the sun, to the beach, or go hiking. Look out for bumps or rashes on their skin as signs of skin cancer developing.
If you wanna get sun tan yourself, leave your animal at home.
Put UV protection shirts and natural-ingredients sunscreen on your animals.
Avoid strenously exercising your animals in the heat.
Watch out for signs of heat stroke e. g. excessive panting and drooling, losing orientation, wobbly movement, reddened/pale blue gums, vomiting, diarrhea, being unconcious and collapsed.
Always keep your animals hydrated. Bring along a bottle of water and water bowl for your animal.
NEVER ever leave them in a vehicle as temperature rises very high and very fast. That can kill your animal. Plan yoir day. Don't bring your amimal out with you while you are running errands.
Heat from the ground (concrete, asphalt, grass) can also give your animal's paws a burn.
Be a responsible animal parent, be mindful and careful. Use common sense! Keep your animal safe, always. ๐๐
