This informative program educates maritime crews aboard work-boats on the importance of properly recognizing and safely working with chemicals and hazardous materials commonly encountered aboard vessels. Maritime employers have the responsibility to provide vessel crews information regarding the safe use, handling and storage of chemicals and products used in daily operations. Cleaners, solvents, paints, fuels and lubricants are all chemicals that crews handle regularly when performing maintenance and housekeeping duties.
