What could change for workers under industrial relations reform? | The Drum It’s an issue that impacts almost all of us, but is getting little attention, industrial relations.

The Federal Government is preparing to roll up its sleeves and wade into the troublesome political waters of IR reform.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says it’s all in the hope that reshaping workplace laws could get the nation a pay rise, create more jobs and grow the economy.

The business community and some on the backbench want big, bold, brave changes to unfair dismissal laws and enterprise bargaining rules.

Over the next few months we’ll find out whether a Coalition, still spooked by the spectre of the Howard government’s work choices, will oblige.

The Drum reporter Stephanie Boltje breaks down the possibilities.
