The American plan to invade Japan in 1945 was known as Operation Downfall. It included 2 separate operations inside of it. Operation Olympic was the planned invasion of the island of Kyushu, while Operation Coronet was the planned invasion of the Kanto Plain. This video is a brief overview of the entire operation.
