Crash Leaves Child & Woman Dead, Second Child Hospitalized In Houston

03.27.2019 | 9:10 PM | HOUSTON - A woman and a child were dead and another child was hospitalized after a solo crash, Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to the reported crash in the 14000 block of Alderson Street around 9:10 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a single vehicle occupied by a female adult and two children that struck a tree causing major damage.

Firefighter paramedics pronounced the female driver deceased on scene and transported both children to area hospitals.

One of the children, described as a male between 8 to 10 years old, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The other child, described as a male between 10 and 12 years old, remained hospitalized but was expected to survive.

Reports from the scene indicate that none of the occupants were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
