A concern many new drivers have is going into reverse gear by accident, especially if they have learnt in a car with 6 gears and are now driving a car with 5 gears, this typically means reverse gear is were gear 6 was.

So you are driving along a motorway doing 50-60mph and go for gear 6 and...... into reverse gear and you end up shooting backwards!!! But can this happen?
