Allah سبحانه وتعالى loves us so much that He سبحانه وتعالى actually turns our sins into good deeds, why? Only out of true love of us, as He سبحانه وتعالى does not want to show our hidden sins in front of our loved ones and other people on the Day of Judgement. The friends in this world are only our friends whilst their needs are being met, our only Friend who only loves us for who we really are is Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
The problem is with us not with Allah سبحانه وتعالى, once a man went to a wise man and said I am in search of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the wise man said Allah سبحانه وتعالى is not lost, He سبحانه وتعالى is closer to you than your own jugular vein, it is you who is lost in sin, as soon as the darkness of sins are removed than one will immediately find the closeness of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. We have the door of friendship to Allah سبحانه وتعالى at any part of our life even on our deathbed, that is true love.
The mercy of Allah سبحانه وتعالى is so much that angel Jibreel AS mentioned to the nearest meaning ‘When Pharaoh was drowning in the sea, you should have seen me stuffing sand in his mouth as I feared that he would repent and I know how Merciful Allah سبحانه وتعالى is and feared that Allah سبحانه وتعالى would forgive him’.
Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq, the great great grandson of the Prophet ﷺ, once was accused by a stranger that he stole his wallet, the reaction of Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq, was not to argue to prove his innocence but asked the man how much was in your wallet? The man replied 1000 Dinars, he said follow me to my house and he gave him 2000 Dinars and the man was delighted. On return to his own home the man was tidying his belongings and found his wallet, he immediately was very embarrassed of accusing an innocent person and went back to find the man, on finding him he apologised and wanted to return the money, but Imam Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq would not accept the money, and said I gave it to you out the pleasure of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and cannot accept it back as I follow the teachings of my great great grandfather the Prophet ﷺ. This is the kind of reaction the purified have, how would we have reacted?
