TWC is a 1973 Invacar that I rescued from a field in November 2017. She has an aircooled flat-twin four-stroke Steyr-Puch engine of 493cc and no more than 20bhp. Probably less. The transmission is CVT belt drive and does squeal a bit when I slow down.

In this journey, we covered 80 miles. Recent pulley and belt replacement has improved economy from 35mpg to 38!

All Invacar Model 70s were finished in this shade of blue, whether built by Invacar Ltd or AC (which designed this generation). The Model 70 was the last of the Invacars, built between 1971 and 1977 (though we now believe one or two were completed after that date). In all, 60-70 Model 70s survive. Earlier Invacars used Villiers two-stroke engines.
