Court transcripts show Facebook was required to defend their privacy policy to a U.S. District Judge, where they revealed that they believe users relinquish their privacy once they sign onto their social network. While Facebook has said that they will be adding a new level of transparency to their platform, the court conveyed concern over whether or not the tech giant truly prioritizes the security of individual privacy. This comes amidst a new wave of criticism surrounding the company with murmurs of anti-trust action, while they begin to unveil their new cryptocurrency Libra.
