Trump attacks May as ‘foolish’ in growing ambassador row

Donald Trump didn't just attack the British Ambassador to the United States in his series of tweets this morning, he also laid into Theresa May, describing her actions as foolish and claiming her Brexit deal had been a disaster because she'd failed to listen to him. (Subscribe: 

Number 10 insisted the Prime Minister had personally given her "full confidence" to Ambassador Sir Kim Darroch, while Foreign Secretary and Tory leadership contender Jeremy Hunt called Mr Trump's comments “disrespectful and wrong”.
