Getting my strength back after cancer. Slowly, surely.
I'm fifty years old.
Only partial reps because I injured my lower back in an incident away from the gym last November and I don't want to risk it.
Not worth it.
So, this is my fourth set.
11 plates a side. 440kg plus carrier. Partial reps I freely admit.
No juice, no gear. Don't need it. Got more than enough natural testosterone in me still.
They never tell you that about getting older.
Already given back and biceps a good working immediately prior to this. So I'm not fresh and I'm off the night-shift which doesn't help.
I reckon that I could push sixteen plates a side for one maximum rep. 640kg plus carrier.
If I can eventually max one rep at 750kg I'll be satisfied.
Not brilliant but not bad for an old man getting his mojo back.
My aim is to reach the age of 55 bigger, stronger, leaner, more explosively powerful, faster, HEALTHIER and more flexible than I ever was.
I've got four and a half years.
All the time in the world. I've got patience in spades.
And I'll effing well do it just to prove you lot wrong.
F%ck cancer. This is how you bounce back.
