Meaning of NO RHYME OR REASON - A Really Short English Lesson with Subtitles

READ ALONG TO PRACTICE YOUR ENGLISH AND TO LEARN THE MEANING OF NO RHYME OR REASON: When someone does something and there's rhyme or reason to it, it means that they don't do it in a logical way. They do it in a way that is not logical. In our house, in our kitchen when we do dishes, when we are done washing the forks and spoons and knives they go in a drawer and every utensil has its own spot. So we put the forks in one spot in the drawer. We put the spoons in another spot in the drawer, and we put the knives in another spot. It's very orderly. It's very logical. But if you were to just throw all of the knives, forks, and spoons into a drawer and mix them all up there would be no rhyme or reason to how you are putting them in the drawer. So when something has no rhyme or reason it means that it's not very orderly or logical.
