Pharmacist Sam Lewis discusses some side effects and drug interactions of medical marijuana. There are approximately 500 studies on cannabis/marijuana ongoing, however, there are some things that we know that allow us to predict some drug interactions at this time.

Possible side effects are; vasodilation, dizziness, fatigue, euphoria, and dry mouth.

Possible drug interactions are; blood pressure medications, heart medications, pain medications, sleep medications, asthma medications, migraine medications, and mental health medications.

Theophylline - a decrease in the effectiveness of theophylline
Chlorpromazine - a decrease in the effectiveness of chlorpromazine

Amiodarone, cimetidine, cotrimazole, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, fluconazole, ketoconazole, and voriconazole
