There are 66 Australian women and children in the al-Hawl camp in Syria. With the withdrawal of US troops from the region and a Turkish military invasion of Kurdish-held territory now underway, aid groups have warned the window of opportunity for Australia to stage some kind of extraction is rapidly closing.
