In order to get a job, one must have experience. In order to get experience, one must have a job and that there is your catch 22 situation that students like myself are currently in. At the moment there is an outdated resume approach, it seems to be that value of words are more important than what you've actual done, which has made the recruitment process itself outdated and ineffective in recruiting the best talent. Students that are getting the experience in the first place are quite limited, as those experiences are usually irrelevant to the field that they are actually entering in and have studied years for. Imagine studying a degree for years and then having little opportunities beyond that.
Introduce you to Catch 22, a platform of portfolios from students to use as a new basis for recruitment. These portfolios will consist of a mixture of work, assignments and projects, created by students, universities and industry, that will produce tangible results that can be presented to an employer demonstrating the efficient skills to achieve the desirable outcomes that are relevant to the current world.
